I. Overview

The HHL Constant Force Cable Retracting Gate Opening Sensor features an internal steel cable that is extended and directly connected to the gate being measured. When the gate is raised or lowered, the steel cable drives a measuring wheel coaxial with the encoder, causing the encoder to rotate synchronously with the gate. This converts the gate's vertical movement into the rotation of the encoder shaft, outputting corresponding position information. Its internal mechanical structure mainly consists of a constant force spring, spring wheel, measuring wheel, wheel shaft, etc. During descent, the gate pulls the spring to reverse wind, driving the mechanical mechanism to rotate. During ascent, the force generated by the reverse-wound spring drives the mechanical mechanism to rotate and retract the steel cable. The sensor has a rational structure, is easy to install, has strong anti-interference capability, high resolution, large range, long service life, and integrates detection and A/D conversion. It also features signal tracking and memory function after power loss. It can be used for long-term detection of displacement of measured components while ensuring stable and reliable performance. It is suitable for measuring and controlling the lifting height of various gates (such as flat gates, radial gates, miter gates, gantry cranes, bridge cranes, etc.). It is an ideal sensor for displacement measurement and control in rivers, lakes, reservoirs, ship locks, hydropower stations, hydrological stations, water plants, and the petrochemical industry.

III. Installation and Debugging Steps:

1. Lower the gate to the lowest position.

2. Install the constant force cable retracting gate position sensor upright or sideways in a suitable location. Attach the extending steel cable to the connection point between the hydraulic rod and the gate or directly to the gate (ensure the steel cable remains parallel to the hydraulic rod as much as possible). (Note: The extendable length of the steel cable should not exceed the design value. If the distance between the sensor and the cable attachment point is large, additional steel cable of corresponding length can be connected to the end to avoid breaking the internal cable.)

3. Open the dust cover.

4. Press and hold the reset button for more than 3 seconds. The upper display should now show 0.

5. Raise the gate to any height.

6. Compare the actual height of the gate with the displayed value. If inconsistent, check if the steel cable is parallel and if retraction is smooth, etc.

7. After confirming accuracy, reinstall the dust cover. The installation and debugging are complete.
